About

This blog is dedicated to bringing more teachers to the policy table. Here, you’ll find information that can be useful for teachers, school leaders, and policymakers.

For teachers and school leaders:

  • Reports and resources on key policy issues and other topics of interest.
  • Policy 101: information about how to talk and work with policymakers, things to subscribe to to become more engaged in policy discussions, and resources to help you learn more about foundational education laws (i.e. ESEA, IDEA, HEA).
  • Teacher’s Lounge: a place for you to share your thoughts and opinions through comments and polls. I will periodically post questions, articles, and topics for educators to respond to as desired.

For policymakers:

  • Reports and resources on key policy issues and other topics of interest.
  • Teacher’s Lounge: a place for you to see what teachers and school leaders are saying about a variety of policy issues and education topics. Though informal, these polls and discussions can act as a quick pulse-check when you feel you need the practitioner perspective.
